How to read your smoothie premix label

By Pure Perks ·

Find the serving basis, ingredients, sweetener and allergen information on a Pure Perks pack before comparing flavours or preparing your drink.

A smoothie premix label answers several different questions: what is in the sachet, how much it contains, how to prepare it, and which portion the nutrition information describes. Reading those sections together gives you a clearer picture than choosing from a front-of-pack badge alone.

Start with the serving basis

For the reviewed Pure Perks sachets, the stated nutrition basis is per 65g of dry premix. A five-sachet pack contains five separate 65g sachets. Keep the individual serving and the outer pack quantity separate when reading the product page.

A prepared smoothie also includes the liquid and any extras you add. If you use milk, its contribution depends on the particular milk and quantity. The dry-sachet information therefore does not, by itself, describe the entire prepared drink.

Read the complete ingredient list

For packaged foods, FSSAI’s labelling regulations describe ingredients listed in descending order by weight or volume at manufacture. The regulations also address a separate allergen declaration. These are useful parts of the label to read alongside the nutrition panel. See the FSSAI labelling reference for the source.

The reviewed Pure Perks ingredient lists include instant oats, soya protein isolate, guar gum, chia seeds, sucralose and flavouring, with additional ingredients depending on the flavour. For example, Mango lists mango powder, while Chocolate lists cocoa powder and milk powder. The five-flavour guide links to each product’s details.

Check the sweetener and allergens

Sucralose appears in the ingredient list. Read that declaration directly instead of using a general impression of the packaging to decide whether a product contains a sweetener.

The Pure Perks allergen statement identifies oats and soy, plus milk for Vanilla, Chocolate and Coffee. It also identifies a facility that processes peanuts, tree nuts and gluten-containing cereals. Preparing a variant with water does not change what was already in its powder.

Finish with preparation and pack details

  • Check the amount of powder and liquid in the preparation directions.
  • Read the storage instructions and expiry or use-by date on the pack you receive.
  • Keep the pack details available if you contact support about a specific sachet.
  • Recheck the current label when buying again rather than assuming every detail stays the same.

When you are ready to mix, use the preparation walkthrough. If you want to compare flavours across several sachets, the mixed-box guide shows how to make a selection. Current ingredients and product details are available in the Pure Perks shop.
